The Safety and Health Team is providing information regarding the registration for the 2025 first semester mandatory health examination for research personnel.

A. Application Period

• March 4 (Tue) – March 14 (Fri), 2025
• Health Examination: Scheduled for May (Details to be announced separately)

B. Eligibility

1. All research personnel who directly participate in research and development activities and handle chemical, physical, or biological hazardous substances, including:
   • Graduate students, researchers, staff, faculty members, and undergraduate student researchers
2. Research personnel who do not directly engage in research and development activities but are frequently exposed to hazardous substances and are deemed to require a health examination.
   ※ Individuals performing temporary or short-term tasks may be excluded from the health examination. However, those handling carcinogenic substances, germ cell mutagens, or reproductive toxicants, even for temporary or short-term tasks, must undergo the health examination.

D. Cooperation and Important Notes

1. Assess the handling and exposure to hazardous substances before applying.
   ※ Graduate students and others are not allowed to apply for faculty members arbitrarily.
2. To ensure a smooth examination process, update laboratory information, chemical substances, and high-pressure gas status in the Safety Information Network before applying. Additionally, conduct a preliminary hazardous substance risk analysis.
3. The health examination for research personnel is conducted to detect potential illnesses arising from research activities. Eligible personnel must apply and undergo the examination.
   • This examination is independent of student or faculty/staff health checkups.
   • The university covers the cost of the health examination.
